Understand the Law
New Jersey law requires lead inspections for all rental properties built before 1978. Property owners must have their units inspected for lead-based paint hazards either through a visual inspection or dust wipe sampling. Inspections must be completed at tenant turnover or every three years, whichever comes first.
If lead hazards are found, property owners must remediate the issue according to state guidelines. Failing to comply can result in fines and penalties. Keeping your property lead-safe protects tenants and ensures compliance with state law.
Our Simple Process
1. Submit a Request
Fill out the lead testing form on our website with property details and select a preferred inspection date.
2. Schedule an Inspection
We’ll contact you to confirm the date and assign a certified lead inspector for either a visual inspection or dust wipe sampling.
3. Lead Inspection
The inspector checks for visible lead hazards or collects dust samples for further analysis, depending on the inspection type.
4. Lab Testing (if needed)
Dust wipe samples are sent to a lab for analysis to detect any lead presence.
5. Receive Results
You’ll get a detailed report—quickly for visual inspections, or after lab results for dust sampling.
6. Remediation & Certification
If lead is found, don’t panic, we’ll guide you through remediation. If everything checks out you’ll receive certification for compliance with NJ lead laws.
Submit your request through our form for a painless, hassle-free lead testing experience.
